The Zionist press started in highlighting the failures of the Zionist occupation army in the war launched on Gaza Strip by the end of the past year, through the deployment of the military and the security reports which were done by the occupying army to evaluate his failure in Gaza war, and to justify his failure by number of justifications. Perhaps it was highlighted in the report of the Zionist security establishment, which says that Hamas and its armed wing Al-Qassam Brigades is funded by Iran with money and weapons by land, sea and air.

To learn the other part of the picture and to respond to the accusations and justifications created by the Zionist occupation to justify his failure in front of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, and to learn the outcome of the negotiations, the exchange of prisoners, "Ar-Resala" (the letter) newspaper made this dialogue with the spokesman of Al-Qassam Brigades.

Al-Qassam preparations:

The commander of the Zionist military intelligence, "Amos Yadlin," said that Hamas is not interested in any of calm these times, what is your response?

We, the Palestinian resistance, establish our priorities and our choices internally, as required by the interests of the Palestinian people at every stage by our vision and the operational tactics and strategy, and, accordingly, the Zionist enemy says whatever he wants. All that remains under the internal confusion of the occupation and under the speculation and auctions that take place within its the military and security institutions, so we are not concerned very much like to respond to such, as what comes out of these criminals.

The Occupation says that Hamas is ready to sign an agreement with Egypt under which the prevention of smuggling of arms, because they smuggle weapons through tunnels in public? Your comment on this?

At First, we do not accept the term of arms smuggling, as the weapon, which arrives in the hands of the noble pure resistance is not a smuggled weapon, but is one of the requirements of pride and dignity and honor of this nation. Second: "We have not and will not sign an agreement with any party to which we pledge an end to the resistance, or that would affect negatively on the progress of resistance in Palestine.

Also, the Zionist occupation says that Hamas is preparing itself for a coming facing through the supply of the power elements that were not present in the recent war as the long-range rockets and the anti-aircraft missiles? Is this true?

It our right to prepare ourselves for any coming confrontation with the Zionist entity; we learn from our last experiences. As long as the Zionist occupation continues its aggression against the Palestinian people, it is our duty as the resistance to defend our land and our people by all means available, or we can provide. But the talking about certain types of weapons and means remains in the specific context of the expectations of the Zionist enemy, and we have no response to that.

Military and Financial sources

The Occupation alleges that the majority of Hamas funding comes from Iran, providing it with money and weapons by land, sea and air. From where do you get the gun, which you fight with? And where to get financial support?

The claim that the majority of our financial and logistical funding come from Iran is obviously false and illogical and unrealistic. Most of the internal arm is what can get through the hands of our fighters, which are manufacturing our weapons we use. The financial and other support comes from both liberals of the world and lovers and supporters of Palestine from all countries.

Do you have the ability in Al-Qassam Brigades to respond to any war or aggression may be submitted by the Zionist occupation on Gaza Strip?

Of course, at first we have the will, resolve and faith in our hearts, and then the ability and preparation to deal with any coming Zionist stupidity or aggression, because we are, in Al-Qassam Brigades, a resisting project not a surrender project giving, and the options of the Palestinian people are limited; they have to struggle or to surrender, and there is no third way as long as the aggression and the siege is continuing. And the majority of our patient people are with us, all of us prefer the choice that proved to be useful in dealing with the Zionist occupation which is the resistance.

Prisoners Swap

Recently we have seen in several rounds of talks taking place between you and the Zionist occupation of the Egyptian-brokered deal to achieve a prisoner exchange, Can you tell us where those talks reached?

In fact, there is nothing new until now, which can be declared to our Palestinian people and the heroic prisoners and their families, in particular. We, at Al-Qassam Brigades, are still on our conditions that were announced by the Zionist occupation, which is well known and we have entrusted with the prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist occupation and their families and all of the Palestinian people in struggling up the issue of prisoners and put them on top of our priorities at each stage, God willing.

Why we sometimes hear that the exchange talks had reached an impasse? And who bears such an outcome?

Which brought the exchange of POWs to this conclusion is the Zionist occupation, following the continuing intransigence and failure to respond fully to the terms of the Palestinian resistance, which were proclaimed to all, and thus the Zionist enemy has committed a grave mistake in this case and will regret it, repeating its past mistakes in the last exchange transactions.

Can we say that the prisoner exchange deal has already reached a dead end? Did you close file of the soldier Gilad Shalit?

The negotiations on this subject did not reach a final outcome acceptable to us, so the negotiations did not end totally, and again, I say that the terms of the deal are clear; the arrested Zionist soldier will not be released until we have met the conditions of the Palestinian resistance in the this issue.
