Al Qassam website - Ekrema Sabri, the head of the highest Islamic Committee, said that the Zionist entity intensified its attempts against Al Aqsa masjid in order to divide it as did in Al Ibrahimi masjid and to destroy it later.

Sabri added in an interview with the PIC on Thursday, that they will not allow the Zionist occupation to do so, and they will not give up one of the grains of Al Aqsa sand.

The full text of the interview:

• At first, Dr. Sabri... If you tell us what is happening in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and why the occupation intensified its attempts to storm it?

The occupation realizes that the general political situation serves in the implementation of its schemes against Al Aqsa; Although the Zionist enemy has stepped up attempts to impose a new reality in the courtyards of the masjid, it failed miserably during the previous three months, including the last two attempts called "Yom Kippur" and "Festival of the Throne" which were foiled by the Palestinian Youth whether from Jerusalem or the occupied territories in 48 who withstood in the mosque.

• What are the real purposes behind the Zionist daily aggressions?  

The Zionist entity aims at dividing Al Aqsa masjid just as Ibrahimi masjid in Al Khalil city south of the west bank, and then they want to demolish it and build the so called Temple of Solomon in the same place.

• What about the excavations under Al Aqsa? Is there any relation between the tunnels and the aggressions?  

There are many of the tunnels which were recently discovered; the last one was discovered under the town of Silwan 20 meter from the southern wall of the masjid, yes.. Of course, there is a strong relation between the both as the tunnels are to destroy the masjid.  

• Which is more dangerous: The Zionist Official Institution, the extremist groups, or the individual actions?

The real danger is the cooperation between all of them and the Zionist government headed by Netanyahu; the Zionist official position backs the extremist groups which elected the "Likud" party.

Are there specific indications of the insistence of the occupation to put religious symbols as the candlestick and a model of the structure of the synagogue in the courtyards of the masjid?

The Zionist groups are using all means aiming at imposing a new reality in the courtyards of the masjid. The extremists in the "Festival of the Throne" were determined to enter a tent in the courtyard of the mosque, but the Palestinian young people foiled their attempt; Therefore, the Zionists police arrested them and beated them with batons and sticks.

• What is the purpose of the Zionist policy of exiling the effective leadership such as Sheikh Raed Salah and Abu Shiha from the mosque?

The Zionist occupation aims to rein in the Muslims and weaken the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Zionist groups, and the Islamic movement known for its role in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque, and beating the alarm bells about what is threatened and detect conspiracies being hatched against it.

• What does the Palestinians, Arabs and international levels have to do to protect the Aqsa Mosque?

They are all required to end the occupation of the land of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa; so as long as the Zionist enemy based on our territories, Al Aqsa is in a real danger; Therefore, we must work to end it; This is firm strategy, and they must support the steadfastness of Jerusalem through the monitoring of the budget of Jerusalem Ratio of not less than $ 500 million.

• Some Zionists call for closure of the mosque, and perhaps more than this?

We, in the Islamic movement in Jerusalem and all honest people of Jerusalem and the Palestinians and all of those who have gloriously towards Al Aqsa, will not allow the division of it, they will sacrifice they blood and soul to defend it.
