Name: Yuseif Abed Al-Majeed Al-Sarkaji" Abu Tareq ".

Qualifications: Master in Sharea from Al- Najah University.

Career: The Imam of Al-Salam mosque and the top leader of Ezzedeen Al-Qassam.

Situation: Married and he had two children, Tareq and Moath, two daughters, Shahid and safaa.

· He was born in Nablus in 1961 to a well-known family which was famous of calm and generous.

· He was married from a patient woman "Om Tareq".

· He had two children and two daughters, his children study in the Islamic school in the city.

· He studied in Nablus schools.

· He got the Bachelor degree in Sharea from Al-Oronia university in Amman, he took his thoughts by a famous teachers such as Abdullah Azzam.

· The Jordan intelligence delayed his certificate as a punishment at him of his activities in the Islamic work.

· He got the master degree in Sharea from Al-Najah national university.

·  He was arrested for many times in the Zionist jails.

· The Zionist authorities exiled him and another 417 leaders of Hamas and Al-jihad movements to Lebanon in 1992.

· He was arrested after the exile by the Zionists in Askalan's jail, he suffered from illness during the investigation. One time during the investigation he suffered from the renal failure , so the Zionist forces sent him to Gaza. After the mediation with the Zionists by Palestinian authority, he came back again to Nablus and he entered the hospital to remove one of his kidneys.

· He was arrested by the PA after the recognition from the two martyrs, Naseem Abu Al-Roos and Jasir Samaro, who were responsible for martyrdom operations in Nablus.

· "He suffered from the extreme investigation in the authority that his heath was deteriorated ", his family said.

· He returned again to the investigation by the national intelligence in Jericho after moving him from Jeneed's jail in Nablus.

· He was accused of the responsibility in leading Al-Qassam Brigades in the west Bank.

· He was a distinctive man, well-known of calm and  fun.

· He disappeared after freeing him with a number of Hamas and Al-Jihad leaders from Jeneed jail , due to the famous shelling of the Zionist  to Gaza and the west Bank.

Early life:

He lived in a good family, he took his primary and secondary school in Nablus. His C.V confirms that he was famous for Islamic morals, he was committed with Islam when he was young. He chose the path of resistance that he studied The Islamic Sharea in order to get knowledge about his religion. After that he continued his high study in the Islamic Sharea from Al-Najah university.

After finishing his study in Jordan, he came back to Nablus and he worked as an Imam and a speaker in many of Nablus mosques. He brought up a lot of Islamic  youths.

His brotherhood liked to listen to his talks. He was famous of his love to science,  he didn't waste his time in order to get the knowledge from the scholars and scientists.

For the sake of Palestine:

He lived a life which is full of struggle with the Zionist forces, in order to free his country from the Zionist entity. He lived in the Zionist's jails from the year 1988 to 1995 , he was exiled in 1992 to Marj Al- Zuhur.

After the end of the exile period, he suffered from the arrest by the Palestinian authority for 23/09/1997 to 14/04/2001 due to the recognitions from the two martyrs , Naseem and Jasir, who were responsible for the explosive material workshop in Nablus.

At the end of the arrest , he was deprived from living a good life with his family , the only choice he had after his arrest was to live as a chaser. There is no doubt that the chasing and disappearance life didn't defeat Abu Tareq, but this situation made him very strong. His knowledge in the Islamic religious and his faith about fighting and struggling in order to get back our country, Palestine.

After assassinating him by the Zionist forces, they confirmed about his important role as top leader in Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades in the west Bank. The arrest of Abu Tareq increased at him  the idea of struggling and fighting the Zionist entity , he brought up in an Islamic society to a well-known family also.

Lovely character:

His life didn't involved the suffer only, but he spent a lot of entertainment times in the exile. For example, all his brothers in the Zionist jail. Due to his huge body , the size of his feet was hardly to be available so his friends give him a pair of shoe. Another joke happened in the jail was a competition of a special type, it was the tallest one in the jail. Finally the competition happened and Al-Sheikh Hassan Yuseif was the shortest one among them.

Additional information about Abu Tareq confirmed that he was a distinctive man with special features. He loved cooking very much, especially the Nablus's  salvers (Kunafa) which was made his brotherhoods be happy. He suffered a lot at the last stage of his life, that he was deprived from his family and friends, even in his chasing life, he wasn't be able to see his family also.

Strong-willed

He and his friends were living for days in the open and under cold. They didn’t find what to eat and what to drink. When he was chased, sometimes of his brothers accidentally. They were able to identify him difficulty. They were advising him not to stay inside Nablus. He replied to them was "My friends martyred before me but how could you know, may I live more than you".

Unknown person was arrested by the Zionist forces, and during the investigations, the Zionists told him that the Zionist forces had the intention to kill Yuseif Al-Sarkaji. When Yuseif heard this thing, he said," Only Allah knows the time of my end, these words don’t frighten me at all". Yuseif was encouraging his brothers by telling them some of the Mohammed Prophet words, these words made their spirits very high and strong.  

One of his distinctive features that his call was responded from Allah. Once upon a time he opposed to extreme tyranny in his confined cell, the Zionist forces prevented him from getting out his cell. At these situations he called Allah to take revenge from the person who prevented him from getting out the cell, Allah accepted his call and the Zionist solider sustained by an extreme thrombus.

He was a patient person, didn't complain his pains, worked in secrets, compassionated  at his family and brotherhood and accepted his brotherhood ideas. One day , one of his chasing brotherhood came to him asking his blanket, Yuseif agreed to give his blanket to him. Another poor person came to him asking about food, Yuseif didn't hesitate to divide all the food in the fridge on behalf.     

He was a compassionate person who like to serve his brotherhood , he was visiting the injuries in the hospitals at the first Intifada. Yuseif was eating him by his hands and buying them the jams and sweets. He also was a tender person to his parents and he was kissing his mother feet. Yuseif loved to serve his brotherhood a lot that he was spending many time with him and speaking with him as well.

When he was out a way from his sons in his chasing life , Yuseif was holding a spyglass going to an area located his home in order to see them when they departure home to school. One day, it was raining heavily, so he called a car to take them from the school to their home.  

On the eve of martyrdom:

He recognized one day that he will be martyred. He felt it ,especially when the two martyrs, Abu Al-Nour and Al-Jamalin. So he was recommending his family with patience and telling them not to complain after his martyrdom. He said to his family," Allah will never lose you and Allah will look after of you". Abu Tareq was comforting his wife by saying don’t be afraid from the future after my martyrdom, Allah will never lose your sons and you".

Om Tareq said after his martyrdom," You are aright Abu Tareq ,Allah will never lose us , and if I regretted only about your chasing life that we didn’t see you a lot". Around three o'clock in 22^nd of January 2002, Nablus city was waiting a new massacre added to the chain of the Zionist's crimes.

A group of the special Zionist's forces entered the city from the northern side , this unit surrounded a flat located in the basement level in a building consists of 9 levels. In this building there were four leaders from Al-Qassam brigades, Yuseif Al-Sarkaji, Naseem Abu Al-Roos, Jasir Samaro and Kareem Mafarja. Meanwhile , ten tanks surrounded the area from all sides near the building.  The Zionist's soldiers began shooting the burning missiles inside the flat before they inter it , then they began shooting the four men on their heads to be sure of killing them.

The fourth men martyred in a cold blood, and this massacre showed the Zionist's crimes against the innocent Palestinian people. After the withdrawal of the Zionist forces from the area , the people went to the place of the crime, their bodies were as a pieces. A lot of people got out in a demonstration and they condemned this savage crime , they were saying a statements of revenge to the four martyrs.     

Abu Tareq left us without a return , he submitted the banner to the men who were trained by him. The revenge operation ,which was vowed by Al-Qassam Brigades , happened and the Zionist's forces paid high range price.
