Rafah City

Name: Yusuf Mustafa Al-Kurdi.

Resident town: Rafah city.

Date of martyrdom: January 6th, 2009.

Background:

Yusuf Mustafa Al-Kudari was born on July 6th, 1987; he was raised in a family from Ashdod town in the occupied Palestine; he finished his secondary study in Rafah, where his family lives. He was a very polite man; one of his friends called him "A man from paradise".

Good manner:

He was always prays to Allah to purifies his soul as his body. This thing became clear when we know that he was kind with his parents, brothers and sisters. Most of Rafah residents knew him due to his good manners.

His roots back to the occupied city Asdod. He finished his primary stage in Ibn Sina elementary school. Then he moved to study preparatory and high school in Rafah schools.

Some stories:

Yusuf was very helpful to his parents, friend, and others, and here are some stories about that:

One day, he was in a trip for calling people to Islam with some other friends. His friend found him searching for something in his bag. When he asked him about that, Yusuf told him that he was looking for his friend's clothes to wash them. His friend said:" I hid them, I don't want you to do this!"

In the holy month of Ramadan, he used to hand out date and water for the fasting people. Also, he used to donate for poor people.

Al-Qassam Brigades:

From the very beginning, Yusuf witnessed the crimes that were being committed by the Zionist occupation against his people in Gaza. Therefore, he hated them and intended to resist them with all of his power. Due to what we mentioned above, he was accepted in Hamas movement, he participated in throwing stones and grenades on the Zionist military sites.

After his repeated demand, his brothers in Al-Qassam accepted him in their ranks. During his resistant history, He accompanied with many of Qassam martyrs like: Ahmed Abu Hmaid, Osama Al-Ghoti and other leaders whom he missed a lot after their martyrdom.

He worked in the anti-tanks unit, the signal service and a reporter for Al-Qassam Information Office; he was working in the Palestinian police in Gaza.

After the martyrdom of his friend Osama, he continued asking his leaders to allow him perform military operation against the Zionist occupation. He had yearned to do so until he was accepted in the martyrs unit; he was very happy for that. He joined many of military courses and participated in many military tasks.

Martyrdom:

In 2002, while his mother saw him in dream as a martyr, so he waited for the fulfillment of it. He participated in the last war on Gaza that started on (27/12/2008).

On Wednesday evening, January 14th, 2009 or the nineteenth day of the war, there was an advance for the Zionist tanks in the eastern of Rafah city. Abu Obada went out, as other resistants, to address the Zionist invasion. After he had arrived at his resistance place, a drone fired him a rocket, so he martyred at once.

He left this life uttering '' There is no god but Allah..."
