Name: Ahmed Jomaa Ash-Shaer.

Residence: Rafah city.

Way of Martyrdom: Drone's rocket.

Date of Martyrdom: January 10th, 2009.

 

Background:

 

Ahmed Jomaa Soliman Ash-Shaer was born on October 19th, 1987 in Riyadh city in the blessed land. He grew up in a religious family; his mother teaches the holy Quran to girls, and his father, who died in 2003, was a good person. Ahmed was raised as his brothers on the Islamic virtues.

 

Ahmed was excellent in his study. He finished primary stage in Saudi Arabia then moved to Al-Aqqad school in Rafah. He finished the secondary grade with 84%, and then joined Al-Aqsa University to study biology.

 

The silent man:

 

Ahmed was very quiet man; he spoke just when there is a need. He was ascetic person; life did not mean anything for him. He was the imam of his mosque which he participated in building it.

 

He was known with his obedience to parents, and he was very kind with his younger brothers; he was playing with them and buying them presents. He also had strong ties with his relatives and neighbors.

 

Sheikh Abu Obada:

 

Ahmed started his work with the Islamic bloc in Al-Aqqad school until he became in charge of it in Al-Aqsa University. Due to his nice handwriting, he helped his companions in the public committee. He was chosen to work in the GSS of Hamas because of his top secrecy.

 

Al-Qassam Brigades:

 

He love jihad very much, and he was one of the first persons who joined Al-Qassam brigades in his region, this was in 2005.

 

Ahmed participated in many military tasks and in addressing Zionist tanks in east of Rafah. He insisted to join the artillery unit, so his leaders allowed him after his continuous demand. He fired Zionist settlements with rockets and mortars.       

 

Martyrdom:

 

During the last Zionist war which was launched against Gaza Strip on December 27th, 2008, Ahmed swore to fight, so he kept ready for any command or task.

 

On Saturday 10/1/2009 went out to fire 120m mortars toward the Zionist settlements. While he was firing mortars, he noticed a drone flying in the region, so he hid between bushes and started praying Al-Asr prayer. While he was in prostrate, the drone fired him with one rocket. He martyred at once

Al-Qassam Brigades mourns the Martyrs of "Al-Furqan" Battle

As the long string of martyrs continues suffusing our Palestinian land with their pure blood, the heroes of Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades fulfill their promise to sacrifice themselves to defend their homeland against the Zionist occupier.

During "Al-Furqan" battle, we stood in the face of the brutal-destructive war committed by the Zionist Nazi against our people in Gaza. Despite the overwhelming disproportion of power, the resistance, with its few arms, made exploits that will never be forgotten.

Here, we, Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, mourn to our proof people and our Arab and Islamic nation the death of the Martyrs of "Al-Furqan" battle that started on December 27th, 2008 and ended on January 18th, 2009 on Gaza.

May Allah please them all, and light our way to liberate our homeland from the Zionist occupation.
