Jabalia

Name: Sharif Zaggoot.

Residence: Jabalia camp.

Date of martyrdom: August 29^th, 2008.

Background:

In 1948, they were expelled from their home in Ashdod to end in Jabalia camp. In 1972, their life shined again with their new baby Sharif Zaggoot. He lived in tough circumstances made him real man. Sharif lived with his family which was known with her goodness; his father taught him Islamic deeds and worships, so he became a valiant who love rightness and hate injustice.

Sharif studied in his camp.s schools and then joined Al-Aqsa University to graduate with diploma certificate in institutions. management.

During his study period, he got his fame by good manners and nice smile on his face. He was quiet man; he dealt with everything in life confidently, and he exchanged love and respect with his teachers and friends. His neighbors enjoyed part of his kindness and goodness.

He loved his parents honestly and treated them very kindly according to his Islam recommendation about parents. He helped both of them and he used to reply them immediately. Also, he was a good husband for his wife and his 3 sons and two daughters; he did not prevent them to do any good thing.

Blessed way:

Sharif was one of the first people who joined Hamas movement in 1990. He had a rich background of work within Hamas. He moved between different masjids calling people to do good deeds and leave bad ones; many people were affected by him. He participated in most of the activities that was held by his movement Hamas.

He worked in the excusive force that that the Ministry or Interior formed to save the people from the fiddlers and criminals. He worked hard and proved himself as a man cares about his country and people.

In 2002, Sharif started his long way of jihad with Al-Qassam brigades. Before this, he worked hard as a volunteer to convince the leadership of accepting him in the brigades. He fought the Zionist occupation forces side by side with his brothers in Islam; all of them were confident in Allah.s help and victory. He climbed the ladder of leadership step by step until he became a deputy of a brigade.s leader of.

During this long life of jihad, Sharif participated in many jihadist tasks like:

.         Addressing many of Zionist invasions on his camp.

.         Participating in the battle of .Days of Wrath. which lasted for 17 days in Jabalia.

.         Participating in the battle of .The Open Account. in Jabalia.

.         Firing Zionist settlements and military bases with mortars and Qassam rockets.

.         Digging and preparing many tunnels.

He companions talk about his modesty and patience.

Martyrdom:

On Friday, August 29^th, 2008, Sharif was leaving this hard life to follow his friends whom he missed too much and hoped to meet in Paradise. He performed Al Fajr prayer and went on a military walk with his companions from Jabalia to Khan Younis city. Sharif had a problem in his heart, so his friends called him to get into the jeep to have a rest, but he refused.

After they arrived and started some training, Sharif had a cardiac arrest and martyred at once. He martyred while he was training to strengthen himself to face the Zionist arrogance and to liberate his land from the occupation.
