Name: Ali Mahmoud Barhoum.
Residence: Rafah city.
Date of martyrdom: April 15th, 2004.
Background:
Ali Mahmoud Mohammed Barhoum was born in Rafah city on November 14th, 1985 for a family expelled from Beer As-Saba'a city in 1948. 5 sons, 8 daughters and his parents; modest family live together in a small house. He studied the elementary and preparatory grades, and continued in the secondary grade but he martyred three days before applying for the secondary general certificate.
Ali was a real Muslim; he used to perform most of the prayers in the mosque. He joined Hamas movement and worked in the public work committee. Later on, he joined Al-Qassam Brigades to participate in liberating his occupied land from the Zionists. His leader said:'he was working in top secrecy, and he participated in addressing in many invasions'.
After martyrdom:
His father was so proud of his son and said:'Allah gave me five sons, and my son martyred while defending his land'. His mother could not hide her tears, but stood patient and thanked Allah on the martyrdom of her son. The people of his neighborhood held Ali on their shoulders to bury his body in his land whooping and praising his bright history.
Martyrdom:
At the night of Thursday, April 15th, 2004, the Zionist tanks advanced into the camp announcing a new part in the series of the Zionist crimes. Ali went out to address this incursion; he moved from point to other until he clashed with a Zionist force leaving a building. Then, he tried to plant a bomb to destroy one of the Zionist tanks, but one of the Zionist snipers shot him to death.
The Zionist barbaric invasion ended with 35 full-destroyed houses, 40 partial-destroyed houses, 22 wounded and the Martyred Ali Mahmoud Barhoum.
