Background:
Asa'ad Rayyan was born in 1969 Jabalya camp. His family house is humble. His family roots back to the occupied city of "Ni'elia" near Asqlan city. He studied in his camp's schools. He was very popular between his friends and relatives. He was a real Muslim adherent to the Islamic virtues. He married two women, and has two daughters.
He joined the Islamic resistance movement Hamas in 1987, he was active in the resisting the Zionist occupation in Gaza strip during the first Intifada. The Zionist entity arrested him for that, his knee broke in the Zionist jails so he was released.
Also he was arrested in PA jails according to the Zionist orders for them, he get out for medical treatment and stayed free.
Martyrdom:
Asa'ad loved the resistance path because he found it as the only way to realize the Palestinian stolen rights. Therefore, he participated in addressing several Zionist incursions in different regions.
Al Qassam leadership saw his behavior & commitment in the virtue, so they accept his request of being a member in Al Qassam Brigades, so he became Qassam member in Jabalya in 2000.
Asa'ad participated in resisting the Zionist in the vast incursion to Jabalya camp for 17 days. In the day of his martyrdom, Hamas organized a rally after the Zionist entity pulled out from Gaza strip, the Zionist air force targeted the people in the rally, the place was contained about 50 thousand people, Asa'ad was martyred in the hospital.
The Brigades said in its statement "The Mujahed was martyred after many years of hard work and sacrifice in defending his home from the Zionist occupation.
"Al Qassam Brigades mourn the death of the Mujahedeen, reaffirms the commitment and determination to continue the resistance against the belligerent occupation forces," the Brigades said.
