Childhood:

Al Amareen family emigrated from its village to the south of the OPT, to Gaza city in the middle of Gaza Strip. The return to the homeland stayed with Mahmud Al Amareen till he martyred & he delivered the dream to his comrades.

The dream was most vivid in the mind and heart of Mahmud, who was born in1980. From his youth, Mahmud asked many questions about his homeland. He was captivated by the details of life in his homeland, and kept close to his family who told him of the former days of freedom.

 Mahmud’s father taught his son well and he was known for his calm and good manners, which covered a raging desire to return to his homeland. The shy, handsome boy was nonetheless strong. He trained in the martial arts of self-defense and played other sports and his companion was the book.

He finished his study in his camp schools; he didn’t manage to continue his study according to his family circumstances. Mahmud was active in many of Hamas branches.

He joined to the Muslim Brotherhood & participated in the public events and funerals of martyrs, he also participated in sports activities in the mosque, he also know Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, he was his teacher in the preparatory school.

Al Qassam Brigades:

Al Qassam leadership saw his behavior & commitment in the virtue, so they accept his request of being a member in Al Qassam Brigades, so he became a member in Gaza city in 2004.

He begins Began his way on many works that Al Qassam Brigades proud of him like:

1. He participated in protecting the camp from the Zionist forces.
2. He participated with his friends in ambushing the Zionist forces.
3. He participated in guarding his camp from the Zionist Special Forces.

Martyrdom:

He martyred on December 27^th, 2008, the Zionist forces waged a wide bloody war on Gaza civilians without a reason, the Zionist warplanes F-16 targeted all the Palestinian police station which are civilian institutions according the IHL, the Zionist army killed 1500 Palestinian civilians in the strip during 22 days.

He survived from the first strikes, he helped the Palestinian people in evacuating the martyrs and the injuries, then he went to pray in Al Katiba mosque in the middle of Gaza city, the Zionist forces targeted the prayers when they out of the mosque.

He survived from the first strike against the Police stations in Gaza city, he went to help the Palestinian people in evacuating the injuries and the martyrs, in the evening, and the Zionist drones targeted him during his return to his house.

 The Brigades said in its statement "The mujahed was martyred after many years of hard work and sacrifice in defending his home from the Zionist occupation.

"Al Qassam Brigades mourn the death of the Mujahedeen, reaffirms the commitment and determination to continue the resistance against the belligerent occupation forces," the Brigades said.
