  • the man with the Iron will

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way."
Yousuf….in other countries Men like Yousuf got so many prizes and so many promotions. Yousuf was the man. He was the man in an age when only very few men lived. He was a man who worked day and night to help others in a time when people are very selfish. He was a man who created, invented and innovated for the sake of his people, for the sake of his land, for the freedom of his land and people…etc. those who knew him, always said how humble and how modest he was. He was a man who disliked saying “I” though he achieved great things.
Childhood :
He is a Palestinian from Gaza. He was born in Shijaia in Gaza in a big family. He was brought up in a very humble and simple family. His father was not a chairman or president; he worked in his farm to feed his children. Yousuf was the boy who had a special case with his father.
Education
He finished his primary, preparatory, and secondary schools in Shijaia refugee schools. He began to study in the Islamic University of Gaza. His bachelor was in social services.
Work
He worked with his brother in the social service center. He preferred to work in this field because he was fond of helping people especially children. He had a project that can be a very useful to the Palestinians which was called “preparing leaders from the childhood”. Our Qassamy leader did not like killing children as the Zionist enemy of human being claimed.
Political life

Yousuf was not a preacher but a helper to all humans. He worked day and night to help and produce leaders and preachers. More Yousuf and his brothers Mahmoud and Ayman were exiled to Marge Al-Zohor in Lebanon. The Zionists considered Yousuf of the most wanted persons to its army. This was because Yousuf wanted to help his country achieve its liberty.
Military life
Yousuf was a difficult number in Al-Qassam Brigades. He could do many things and no one could note what he had done. That was why the enemy wanted him alive before killing him. Yousuf was the student of the engineer Yahya Ayyash , Imad Aqel, Salah Shehadaand , Muhammad .
Martyrdom ( 1-5-2003)
Two days before his martyrdom a relative told him "you should rent a flat in another place lest should he Zionists attack you house". Yousuf replied saying " no I want to be a martyr."
The martyrdom of this great leader is a big story. It is the story of a battle between the root of evil and the handed simple military of Al-Qassam Brigades . Three soldiers could face twenty jeeps and more than fifty tanks to be a big battle that remained about sixteen to seventeen hours.
During the Zionists' siege to his home, Yousuf was called by the Jews to surrender, but he refused preferring to die in the battle rather than to let the killers of the Prophets touch him. During that battle thirteen Palestinians were slain by the Jews including Yousuf and his other two brothers.
And thus finishes the story of a great man. A man who preferred to work behind curtain rather that letting people see what he did. That is why so many people were astonished when they were told that Yousuf was a leader in al Qassam Brigades and that he was assassinated.
Two days after he got what he had dreamed of, Yousuf's wife gave birth a new baby naming her "Nour" which means "Light" in Arabic. Yousuf left his wife and his two children to join those who went to Allah in Paradise.

WE ask Allah to rain him with his mercy
