Name: Mazen Mahmoud Yassin

There had been few who died gun in hand in Palestine before Sheikh Ezzedeen Al-Qassam; but there have been thousands who did so after him.

Mazen yasin was one of those who followed the path of Al-Qassam. He was one who contributed much to his people through the Islamic Resistance Movement in the West Bank.

Childhood and Education: 

Mazen was born on February 1st, 1962 in Tulkarem. His lived in a simple family, brought him up on the virtue manners.

Prison and the life of Agony

Mazen suffered a lot in the occupation jails. The jailers were intent on making his life as miserable and unstable as possible. In 1985 he moved to Qalqilia and married their, in the first intifada his house exposed searching despite he was in the prison , that was not the last time , on 2002 the Zionist forces destroyed his house in the second invasion to the city by tank shield. On 2003 his mother passed out and she was longing to see him but the prison prevent that.      

Before a few days of his martyrdom he told hid sons to stick with the good manners and his wife to bring up his children on the virtue.  

Jihad:

In 1985 he joined to Islamic brotherhood, he was an active member, in the intifada he joined to Islamic resistance movement Hamas, in 1993 he was sentenced three years, he was moved to many jails until he became the preventive of the prisoners in Al Naqab prison, and after he released from the Zionist jails he detained for seven months in the PA prisons.  

In 1993 he responsible on the city's mosques, he work rebuild Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades in Qalqilia, he was accompanying to many leaders as "Yahya Ayyash", "Zaher Jabbarin", and "Adnan Mari ". His mission was providing the Brigades with ammunition, and weapons but the Palestinian security forces arrested him according to the Zionist will.

In Al Aqsa intifada he worked to call the youths in Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades in Qalqilia area with his friends Abed Rahman Hamad.

He work on the development of the bombs directed very effective where he works in     the maintenance of electrical appliances and computer programming and this is what gives him the experience on his works, in addition to his responsibility in the Qassam Brigades.

Attempted assassinations:

Abu Mahmoud was one of the commanders of Al-Qassam Brigades. He became number one wanted man on the occupation's list. And OF tried to assassinate him two times. The first attempt was by trapped rifle but they fail. The second one was in Al Adha Eid where the Zionist forces surrounded his home but he managed to escape after the martyrdom of two men, which he survived by the Guidance of Allah.

Occupation forces killed us twice:

The occupation forces killed him two times, the first was leaving him bleeding to death, and the second one painting his body with chemical material as a torture, this material caused damage to brain cells and his hair.  

Martyrdom:

 
Abu Mahmoud feel imminent martyrdom, he asked his wife him to come with his children to see them but when his wife felt that she was followed, she went to her brother's house without meeting him, on May 20, 2004 large occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilia, and surrounded "Khallit Yasin," he was martyred with a pullet in his waist where he is coming to deposit his cousins and relatives after the siege lasted for hours, he martyred and the occupation forces detained him for several hours. Abu Mahmoud left behind five children, who are "Mahmoud, Ahmed, Mohammed, Asma and Hind".
