Agencies - Wasfi Qabaha, the ex-minister of prisoners in the 11th PA government, has been carried from the Zionist prison cell to hospital after suffering strange symptoms, the Ahrar center for prisoners' studies and human rights said.

Fuad Al-Khafsh, the center's director, said in a statement on Friday that Qabaha, who suffers from diabetes and hypertension, was rushed to hospital after his skin turned red and his feet suddenly swollen.

He said that Qabaha, who is the second oldest serving administrative detainee, has assumed several important positions in the Palestinian government, warning that any harm done to him would lead to "big reactions".

Khafsh held the Zionist prisons authority responsible for any harm done to Qabaha, who has been held in its jails since 23/5/2007, for not granting the minister appropriate medical treatment.

The Ahrar director appealed to the human rights groups to immediately intervene to release all sick captives in Zionist occupation jails and to end once and for all the notorious administrative detention policy.

Meanwhile, the Zionist occupation renewed the administrative detention of Adnan Asour, a Hamas political leader from Nablus, for the third consecutive time.

The Ahrar center said on Friday that Asfour was handed the notification on Thursday that he would be held for six more months in administrative custody, without trial or charge.

Um Sayel, the wife of Asfour, appealed to human rights groups and international concerned organizations to immediately intervene to put an end to her family's suffering as a result of the repeated detention of her husband.

Asfour was detained by the ZO for 16 times and spent six years in its jails mostly under administrative detention.

She said that her children miss their father and are deprived of visiting him.
