Occupation intelligence torture a prisoner
Al Qassam website - The Zionist newspaper "Haaretz", said on Sunday 14/3/2010, that the Zionist Ministry of Health and so-called "Union of the doctors" hold these days very sensitive examination to inspect a suspicion saying that doctors at "Linyadu" and "Kishon" hospitals knew about torture of Palestinian prisoners at the hands of the Zionist intelligence, "Shin Bet", but did not inform anyone about his serious injuries.
The newspaper said this morning, "that the young Palestinian Jihad Riad Al Mughrabi, a resident of Tulkarm, 21 years, was captured in April 2008 on suspicion that he was involved indirectly in the killing of Zionist guards."
The newspaper noted that the Public Committee Against Torture called, in a petition submitted about a week, the Supreme Court to order the Attorney General to initiate an investigation against the interrogators who tortured Al Mughrabi for a long time, beaten him with the butts of their guns and seriously wounded him in his head and chest.
The committee added: "According to documents reached the Committee on 5 August 2008, investigators had to move Al Mughrabi to "Linyadu" Hospital, where he received simple treatment. He was sent back into the hands of intelligence after only two hours, despite serious injuries, and though he told doctors that he was tortured in detention.
The newspaper continues the narrative of what happened with the Palestinian captive; two weeks after being admitted to the hospital, he was not accused of killing, but just convincing other Palestinians of stealing combat equipment although this did not happen.
These days, Al Mughrabi is serving a sentence for the entry to the occupied territories in 1948. He is expected to be released after two months.
On Tuesday, the judge of the so-called "Supreme Court", ordered the legal adviser to the Zionist government, Ester Hayut, to respond to petition of the Committee against Torture within 30 days.
