Al Qassam website – Health care and international human organizations in the Gaza strip warned several times and still warning that the power cut in Gaza  strip, stopping supplying the strip with fuel, seizing the crossings and the lack of the medical materials in hospitals etc…., will cause a disaster.

They warned that human situation is deteriorating, especially in the health and the environmental sectors, these conditions will lead to a mass death and to spread out the diseases and epidemics. Palestinian sources stressed that the Israeli announcement of Easing Blockade is just for publicity.

Palestinians still pay the price

The Palestinian citizens were the main target for this blockade, the Israeli news papers claims that the Israel eased its blockade on Gaza, all which is false. Israel did that for publicity, Palestinians still suffering as what has happened with the Palestinian doctor Nazmi Ashur.

He is another victim of the harsh procedures during the Israeli barriers in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. These aggressive checkpoints prevented the transformation of about one thousand patients from leaving Gaza Strip to receive a relevant treatment. All the patients are suffering from serious situation and weakness in the abilities of the Strip hospitals.

Ashour, 50 years, is the seventh victim in four months, and the second one in less than 24 hours to be passed out on the same barrier. He waited on Erez barrier near Beit Hanoun city for long hours under heat of the sun.

"About 350 from 10000 patients are facing, 'Death' at every moment. Those patients are in a big need for urgent surgical operations outside the Gaza Strip according to the Director of the ambulance and emergency in Al Shifa hospital.

The director said "the occupation authorities are treating the sick Palestinians in a degrading and humiliating way on the military checkpoints. In addition, the Israeli authorities are preventing hundreds of them from leaving Gaza for security reasons."

International positions

Following months of preparation, a coalition bringing together a number of organizations and movements working to break Israel’s illegal blockade on Gaza was announced on 04-04-2010 in Istanbul.  The coalition comprised of the Turkey-based IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi) organization, the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG).

The Greek Ship to Gaza campaign, the Swedish Ship to Gaza campaign and the Free Gaza Movement, will launch a flotilla of ships laden with cargo, media, parliamentarians, celebrities and activists to Gaza...

Also the UN chief Ban Ki-moon crossed into the Gaza Strip today, expressing solidarity with the plight of the Palestinians and urging an end to the Zionist blockade of Gaza.

Mr. Ban was made his second visit to the Gaza Strip since the 22-day Zionist offensive on Gaza ended in January 2009 as part of a regional tour aimed at reviving the peace process, which ground to a halt when the fighting broke out.

In the occupied West Bank yesterday, the UN Secretary General had said his visit to Gaza was to show his support for Palestinians.

“I’ll go to Gaza ... to express my solidarity with the plight of the Palestinian people there and to underscore the need to end the blockade,” Mr. Ban told reporters.

All that demands to end the Palestinian suffering and Israel still insisting on the lie of "loosen the embargo".
