IOA renew administrative detention of Deputy for 6 months
Al Qassam website - Israeli occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention - without charge or trial – of the deputy in the Palestinian Legislative Council Mohammed Jamal Al - Natsha from the city of Al Khalil, for the second time since his arrest a year ago.
The Ministry of Prisoners in Gaza said that the prison administration informed Al - Natsha that his administrative detention is extend another six months.
The ministry condemned in a statement the policy of extension for Al Natsha, considering it as an explicit violation to the rights and the parliamentary immunity enjoyed by the House of Representatives, calling on all human rights organizations and the Organization of the International Red Cross to work on the release of all kidnapped representatives, led by parliament speaker Aziz Dweik, especially as they are being held under administrative detention law, and no charges brought against them.
Al Natsha was detained in 2002, and sentenced to eight and a half years, during which he has spent six years in solitary confinement, and was released on 12/9/2010, and then re-arrested again on 31/1/2011.
It is worth mentioning that the occupation authorities is still detaining twenty-seven deputies in its jails, twenty-four of them are from the "Change and Reform," block.
