BETHLEHEM  - Agencies - Israeli forces injured 13 people in the village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah, during a Friday demonstration against Israeli land confiscation, witnesses said.

A French national sustained an injury from a tear-gas canister, activists said. She was taken to a hospital in Ramallah where she received stitches before being released, they said.

Palestinian residents of Nabi Saleh and their local and international supporters demonstrate each week against a nearby settlement's encroachment toward lands owned by the village. 

In December 2011, a tear-gas canister killed Mustafa Tamimi, a resident of the village.
