IOF free Reyad Nasser after two years under the Administrative Detention

Al Qassam website (Agencies) - Ahrar Center for prisoners’ studies and human rights said that the Israeli occupation forces released the leading prisoner Reyad Nasser from Deir Qedees town near Ramallah on 7/10/2012 after two years under the administrative detention.

Fuad Khuffash –Ahrar’s director- explained that the Israelis had renewed Nassers’ arrest four times each one for six months without being charged with any guilt.

According to Ahrar, Nasser who was imprisoned for eight years before was depraved from his wife or child visit during the last two years. He got married in 2008 and has one daughter named Shahd; However, he was arrested a little while just after his marriage.

Nasser- who is considered as one of the most prominent union leaders in Abu Dis University and his doing master – said on his first press statement to Ahrar center that the popular reaction with the prisoners issue has to rise to meet with their suffering. He has also called on human rights associations to work seriously in order to expose Israeli violations against Palestinian prisoners.

Finally, it is very important to mention that there are around 150 administrative detainees distributed in Maggido, Ashkelon and Ofer prisons without being charged or even accused with any guilt.
