IOF shot farmer east of Jabaliya refugee camp

Gaza - A farmer was shot and moderately injured Friday evening east of Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip as Israeli occupation soldiers fired on him.

Spokesman of the Palestinian police Ayoub Abu Sha'ar said “Youssef Kamal Saad, 20, was shot in the thigh as the Israeli army opened fire towards him,”

He pointed out that Abu Sha'ar was boarded to Kamal Adwan Hospital in the camp. His injury was identified as moderate.

Since the signing of cease-fire agreement between Islamic Resistance Movement-Hamas and Israeli occupation after 8-day Israeli offensive in Gaza in November 2012, Israeli military have been showing no restraint in violating the agreement.

The UN website reported on December, 5th that UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories Richard Falk said upon a visit shortly after the November violence:

“Experience has also shown that Israel is not likely to carry out its obligations under the ceasefire agreement; indeed during our visit we heard Israeli warplanes flying directly overhead and received reports of Israeli military incursions into the Gaza Strip.”

The army carries out nearly daily limited incursions into different border areas of the coastal enclave, especially in the northern and eastern Gaza Strip. Dozens of casualties have been reported due to army firing since the agreement took effect.
