The occupation forbidden him to see his children
Ahmed Abu El-Kas was captured and in the desert Zionist Nafha prison, and suffered from difficult circumstances, sentenced to 20 years which spent 14 years.
Note that he did not commit that big crime to spend all this time in prison. He resists to restore the Palestinian usurped rights and to have a place to live in without Zionist soldiers upon his head every night and day.
Birth and study
On February 28, 1965, after his family abandoned from her hometown "Biet Affa" inside the occupied Palestinian land in 1948. he joined the Federation churches college to study carpentry profession for two years. He was selected to work in the same place. He opened his own in the Bureij camp, in addition to his work in gas distribution in the camp. His father ,Sheikh Ismail Abu El-Kas, was Sufi (a group of Muslim worshipers).
Jihad and arrest:
In 8th of January 1982, Ahmad Abu El-Kas joined to the ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was active in the ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood in formation groups to resist the occupation with all possible means. He joined later to the "Magd" the military wing of the movement Hamas in that time. He had a great relationship with Dr. "Ibrahim Makadmeh", the martyr "Imad Aqel,".
The Zionist security administration considered him as a threat to the Zionist security and began chasing him. At that time he was arrested number of times. The first time was in 1985 by the Zionist occupation forces where he accused of violating public security. He was sentenced to five years and four months with a stay of execution in the Central Gaza Prison.
The second arrest was on April 25, 1988 for nonsense reasons related to the security cautions. He was released on May 12, 1988 from the "Katiba" prison. The occupation forces detained him a third time on June 26, 1988 and released him on July 13, 1988
The fourth time was in 1989 when the army started pursuing him for 4 months and arrested him from his brother's shop.
In the morning of Thursday January 30, 1992, where he was pursued by Zionist special forces by Mercedes car wearing Arab clothes. He managed to escape but the forces captured him. After he was arrested, his family didn’t know any thing about him for eight months. He was sentenced for twenty years "except one day" that means 19 years, 11 months, and 29 days. He was moved to many prisons like the Central Gaza Prison, Be'er Al Saba'a, Ramla, and Majdal.
Visits
Visits like the rest of the prisoners was not always allowed. His sisters, wife, his children and father aren't allowed to visit him for more than four years. The one who wanted to visit him should wait in the buses for about eight hours and the soldiers , in many times, returned the families after long time of waiting.
The conditions of the prisoners
Ahmed's brother said "according to the latest contact six months ago, the conditions of the prisoners is very tragic and very bad from all sides health, locations, beds, medicine, and even clothes.
His wife
Um Sohib was an example, as many Palestinian women. She managed, despite the absence of her husband, to achieve concrete successes in the education of her children. She decided to gain education to become a teacher to have a decent living for her two children and to learn them by herself.
