A story of suffer in the Zionist jails

The family of the prisoner Juma Abu Khalifa live in concern over the fate of their son.

He was released after three months of arresting. He injured during the clashes in Jineen in 2002. His wife said that her husband didn’t take the medical treatment he needs. That led to amputate his leg without mercy.   

The wife added that the doctors left her husband without giving him the minimum health care. He was suffering from bullet injury in his leg. This injury caused rotting. The Zionist doctors transferred to "Al Afula" Hospital. They amputated his leg from the top. This operation  aimed to increase his disability.

Members of his family said that suffering journey started after they were holding him with dozens of detainees, in "Al Sa'ada forest" west of the camp. Then they passed him to the hospital and amputate his leg. After that, the Zionist prisoners administration extent his detention for fifteen months. Finally he was released in summer 2004.

Not for a long time

He was released for a little time, but once again, he became a target by the Zionist occupation soldiers. They raided his house in the camp and terrorized his wife and his children. They beat him severely in front their eyes. They didn’t heed at all to his injury or to his disability.

The story of the injury

During the Zionist invasion to the camp in April 2002 in the third day of the incursion. each district in the camp was target by rockets, and missiles. On that day, he was trying to move from his house to his brother's house in the neighborhood.

His wife added, "There was heavy firing, and he wanted to pass the Street to reach his brother's house. He waited until the fire stopped. Then he started to run quickly towards the second side of street. Then he fall on the ground, without feel any pain, despite that he heard that some thing broke. They shot him"

She added, " He was bleeding. Despite of that, he stood on his left leg and started to jump till he reached the other side of the street. But there was another problem waiting him, his brother's house was empty. He compelled to climb the house wall and enter from the window. He laid on the ground and called some friends to tell them about what has happened to him.

Fainting

In an attempt to stop the bleeding. He put a large quantity of coffee on the wound, then entered in a state of unconsciousness. He open his eyes when he heard the sound of his brother Khalid, who gave him the necessary treatment and little water to stop the bleeding.

After three days, a lot of Zionist soldiers stormed the house searching for the person who was injured near the house several days ago. They explode the door and used the civilians as shields.

Abu Khalifa said " I tried to convince the Zionist officer to transferred me to the hospital but he ignored me. Instead, they beat me, jumped on my chest till I thought that my chest bones are totally smashed. They use my broke leg to torture me. I was screaming until I lost my consciousness. This situation continued for five hours". 

In "Al Afula" hospital

Finally they were transferred to the hospital. The Zionist doctors execute the surgery by putting a mineral bare in his leg. But when they knew that he is from Jineen, they stopped giving the medicines. His leg began to rot. The Zionist doctors decided to execute amputate his leg from the bottom part (under his knee). However he was shocked when he waked up , they amputee his leg from the middle of his thigh.

After he finished his administrative period in the Zionist jails. He prepared himself to out. But he shocked when the Zionist administration extent his period for another six months. Finally he get an artificial leg from the red cross after the Zionist administration refused to it to him. 

Further extension

For the second time, the Zionist administration reported Khalifa that it extent his administrative period for another six months. He released, so he tried to adapt with his situation. He bought a car to transport the goods. 

The prison again

In a dark night, the Occupation soldiers raided his house and severely beat him, pulled him out of his house to unknown destination. The news came to his family to confirm that he was taken to a hospital, to receive treatment after he tortured for many hours.

The occupation forces arrested him this under charge of being a member Ezzdeen Al Qassam Brigades. And that he was planning to abduct Zionist soldiers, in order to exchange them with Palestinian prisoners. In addition to another activities in Al Qassam Brigades.
