Birth

Amjad Ahmed Mohammed Abu Arqob was born in 1982, in the village of " Wadi Shajni" south of Hebron. He has fifteen brothers, ten brothers and five sister, he is number eight between them.

He finished his primary and preparatory studying in "Bili" school. He get high marks. He finished his secondary school in the scientific branch. He joined to Al-Khalil university. He was known with the good manner and virtue. He was careful to obey his father before he died in1999.

Resistance and arresting

He was participating in some activities for the Islamic movement. He was defending against the Zionist occupation.

For his activities , he received many warnings from the Zionist intelligence. But he was not get bored or afraid. He continued his work till he arrested for three months. After that, the preventive security warned him. He ignored them and continued  his work.

In November 10th 2002, he entered a new stage of his life. Zionist special forces  attacked him near his home. They kidnapped him to be moved to Asqlan jail. They investigated  him and tortured him for two years. But the investigators didn’t manage to take any word from him during the investigation.  

He exposed to many torture techniques as hanging, the noisy music, and shaking. He transferred to the hospital for three days because of  the hard injuries. After they end the investigation, the Zionist administration moved him to "Hadarim" jail, then he moved to "Al Ramla" jail, and finally to Asqlan jail.       

The charges

The Zionist investigators centralized on Amjad's military activists in Ezzdeen Al Qassam brigades, ensuring the financing sources, buying weapons, and working as a contact cycle between the Mujahideen and their leadership, especially in "Karmi Tsor" operation. Four Zionist settlers killed on it.

The bill of indictment also included many charges as his activity in the Islamic block and the students council in Al-Khalil university.  After they failed to force him to confess, they convicted him with his   friend's confessions. In March 28th 2002, They sentenced him twenty five years. 

Family full of Mujahideen

Amjad is not the first one among his family to be arrested. The Zionist occupation forces arrested his four brothers. His elder brother Tarek who was sentenced for five years, Ayman who was sentenced for three months. Azam who was arrested two times for nine months and Mohammed who sentenced for one year.

The conditions of the prisoners

According to the latest contact with him before a while, the conditions of the prisoners are very tragic and very bad from all sides health, locations, beds, medicine, and even clothes.
