Ashraf was born in 17th of February in Al Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza. He brought up loving his country and his friends. The detainee studied the preparatory stage in the UNRWA schools, Then he affiliated Jaffa secondary school.

He got the advantage of the vacation to work in a factory in Jaffa city. His mother described his childhood saying," He was an obedient one ,intelligent and he was a self made person or he was depending on himself since his young age". His mother added I knew the main reason, which made him working in the factory in Jaffa, was that he wanted to avenge the Palestinian people." He was a committed person and he used to pray at the mosque of " Al Sidra" near his home , Ashraf participated his brotherhoods in throwing the Zionist forces with the stones during the first intifada, His hope was to join Al Qassam Brigades", his mother mentioned.

Security barriers:

Allah pleased the hero Mujahid to agree with his brotherhood the martyr "Marwan  Al-Zaig", who brought up with him in mosque of " Al Sidra" . They planed  the implementation  of the heroic breakthrough  in occasion of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas in 14th of December,1990  and In response to the mass arrest campaigns that are exposed especially to the youths of the movement and many leaders of the military wing, such as the martyr commander Salah Shehada inside the Zionist jails.

It should be mentioned that Baloji planned for slaughter more than ten of the Zionists. His mother as hostage:

Ashraf's mother added, "After 15 days of the process, the Zionist intelligence sent me to the prison of Al Sabih . Zionist forces exercised pressure against me in order to admit the area of my son. Ashraf's mother sated, "I stayed in detention for six days of such a hardest days of my life" .

Hamas gift:

He remained moving from one place to another in Ramallah in the houses of Mujahedeen and in shelters far from the eyes of the Zionists. But the Zionists saw him in a house in Ramallah, and when the Zionist intelligence confirmed his presence in the house, they brought hundreds of soldiers came to arrest him. He admitted to Zionist intelligence that he killed Jews without the recognition of the organization behind. Ashraf was sentenced to three eternals and 7 years.

In prison he met the leader of the military actions of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas to return more solid and he got benefit from the experiences of his brothers.
