The Zionist intelligence forces seized him at the bridge of Jordan. Khalil was arrested and immediately he was transferred to the detention "the slaughterhouse", there a savage battle took place in which all the intelligence Zionist men were given him a means of psychological torture and physical, as the Mujahid stayed by faith and will. He was prevented from sleeping and he had a solitary confinement lasted for more than seventy days; however, he remained steadfast to prove that the weapon of faith he had is stronger than anything else.
After the despair of the investigators, they transferred him to Majedo Jail. In the prison he had great illnesses which he was suffered from the torture he had from the Zionist forces. His brother after his release said," His release from the Zionist jail was a festival, all the Palestinian factions participated in it. The Zionist jail administration allowed every section in the jail to visit Khalil in his place and farewell him and the detainees raced to the distribution of sweets and juices as if it was the Eid.
