The man with a kind heart but not with the occupier of his homeland

Background

Mohammed Ash-sharateha was born in Jabalia refugee's camp north of Gaza city. His family fled their home in be'er As-saba' in 1948. His family is known with its resistance and goodness. From the very beginning, he was seeing the Zionist aggression against his people, so he hated them and intended to fight them with all his effort.

He took his primary and preparatory study at UNRWA schools. After his father's death, he left study and moved to work to help his family.

Kind man

After the death of his father, he made special relation with his family's members. He overwhelmed them with his kindness and did all of their demands and needs. His mother says that he was doing his best to please her.

During the period of study, he was very polite. He also used to help weak students to achieve their rights.

Life full of resistance and detentions

Our prisoner Mohammed joined Hamas movement at his youth stage. He was an active member at "Ash-Sharqee" mosque in Jabalia camp.

For the first time in his life, Mohammed was abducted in 1980, but he didn't recognize the plaints of the Zionist court. He was sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years; he spent this period in Zionist prisons and came out to continue his straggle against occupation. After less than one year, he was abducted for the second time to be sentenced for a year and month. In 1986, he was abducted for the third time and sentenced with 9 months.

In one of his exploits, he tried with his group to capture an intelligence officer who was working as an entrepreneur for digging water wells in "As-Sheikh Ejleen" district. During the operation, the officer succeeded to reach his weapon in his car, so they shot him in his leg and withdrew from the place.

Arrest

Mohammed was arrested on 5/9/1989 in a struggling with a large force of Zionist army that surrounded the area totally, and stormed the house where he was and arrested him.

Later, the soldiers returned and arrested his wife, son and his mother and used them to force him to confess, but he did not. He remained in the cells of the investigation for more than eight months, during which he submitted types of torture by the Zionist criminals who do not respect any international law.


Trial ... The charges against a prisoner

He was submitted to the "unfair" Zionist court and has been charged with many charges which are:

Killing and abduction of two soldiers: Ilan Saadon and Avi Sportas.

An attempt to capture intelligence officer.

Belonging to the Islamic Resistance Movement.

Training of the resistant members and the mujahedeen.

The suffering of his family

His family is suffering a lot. The soldiers detained them for long hours in each visit; they have been deprived to visit him for (5 years) in full. Nowadays, no one is allowed to visit him except his wife.

The visit takes place in an indirect way, as the dialogue and the meeting is through (telephone) connected between the prisoner and his family, he sits in a glass room where he can be seen.

His life in prison

He tried to escape from the prison many times, but his plans were uncovered by chance.

Mujahid Mohammed spends his day inside the prison in attending religious lessons and following-up the prisoners. He got the (General Certificate of Secondary Education) in prison, then he started studying at the university level through (correspondence) and he has been able to organize his time and effort.


Confidence and relief still in the hearts of the family because they know that there are men do their best, pray day and night and engage in the impossible for the release of prisoners.?!!!
