Political life

Abu Hannoud was an activist in Hamas movement. In the first Intifada (in 1987), Abu Hannoud was very active in Hamas movement and he was seriously injured during his defense against the Zionist occupation. Then after his long sacrifice, he was arrested and sent to Zionist jails.

He was exiled with 400 leaders from Hamas movement to Marj Al-Zuhur and continued his Jihad against the Zionist occupation. Zionists thought that he would give up his Jihad after the prison and the exile but he was continuing his way of thinking, he even became greater when he was in the Military Wing of Hamas EQB.

Military life

Mujahid Mahmoud Abu Hannoud was one of the commanders of Al-Qassam Brigades. He became number one wanted, after the assassination of Mohye A-Din A-Sharif, a great leader in the west bank.
